I designed this sew-on patch for My Make Believe Museum Shop at Pollock's Toy Museum to remind me, and others, of all the Dutch Dolls dotted around the museum. They measure 7.5 x 6cm
Marguerite Fawdry, who founded Pollock's Toy Museum, bought a barn full of Dutch peg dolls from a community in Ortisei, in the Dolomite moutains, Italy, at the end of the 60's when changing economic conditions made making them by hand in Europe unfeasible. For many years they were available in the museum shop. Now the remaining dolls are dotted all around the museum.
